Which beaches in Aruba are best for calm swimming?

Aruba's western coast is sheltered from the northeast trade winds by the island's own landmass, which keeps the water on the leeward side glassy and shallow for hundreds of meters out. Druif Beach immediately to the south is equally calm and almost entirely undeveloped.

The best times for calm swimming are early morning before 9 AM and late afternoon after 4 PM, when the trade winds are lightest. Even at peak midday conditions, however, Aruba's western coast rarely produces waves that would concern a casual swimmer.
